About Us

Due to high market demand for pipes and fittings both locally and overseas, Hardwares Point Ltd has in its expansion process invested in the manufacturing of pipes and fittings locally since January 2012. The company has invested above Rs 30.0m in new machines and new technologies for pipes production. Our machines are fully automatic and only 2 persons are enough to work with the machine. This has allowed us to lower our costs and thus offer a better quality product at much lower price than the actual price on the market. We have a well trained and committed work force in the organization. Our team is committed to the five beliefs all the time.

Our staff is working together as a responsible and reliable team headed by reliable and determined leaders dedicated to design innovation and quality progress all the time thus leading to business growth. 

For a start, the company has invested in one PVC line for sizes 20 mm to 110 mm and a second machine is envisaged by end of this year which will cater for sizes which range from 110 mm to 315 mm.

Our other machines are for production of PE pipes for potable water from size 16 mm to 250 mm. We also manufacture PP single wall corrugated pipes from size 20mm to 50mm. The company is also looking into the possibility of investing in more machines for production of hot water pipes and gutters and soft hose. Our products are all branded under 3 brand names namely: Aquadrain for all drainage applications, Aquasafe for all water pipes applications and Aquaduct for all ducting applications.

Quality Assurance

In order to ensure high quality products, all our products are tested in house at time of production and before delivery. Again the company has not hesitated to invest above Rs 5.0m in testing equipments from India to ensure the quality of products being offered to our clients. All our testing equipments are calibrated and certified by competent bodies in Mauritius. Our PE pipes have passed the MS ISO 4427 certification and we are proud owner of same since 2012. In addition our PVC pipes are also certified with MS ISO 1452 for pressure applications. We are also seeking for other management systems certifications in due course like ISO 9001:2008 and other product certifications. We have invested in high tech laboratory equipments with the complete range to ensure that the customers get the best products at all time. 

 Advanced Technology

We, at Hardwares Point Ltd, always strive for research and development. We are in partnership with an international; research and development centre with experts and advanced equipments providing a good experimented platform to develop new products. We will constantly research and develop the latest technology to be amongst the leading position in the plastic industry. We are all the time working with our partners to find ways to bring new products on the market which are relatively high quality at low price. We have worked out our own formulations as far as pvc pipes are concerned and always strive to improve every year.

Customer Service

Hardwares Point Ltd attaches great importance to customer service providing the flexible and best solution to satisfy the various needs of our customers. We will continue valuing our customers with utmost priority and improving customer service with innovation. Self encouraged staffs are always in pursuit of excellence for the sole purpose of total customer satisfaction.

Employment

The company is currently employing 18 persons. With its expansion program we are looking at a total of around 30 people to work in the factory at Macadam Road, Baie du Tombeau as machine operators, supervisors, electrician, helpers and factory attendants.

Experience

The company has been dealing in pipes and fittings for the past 5 years and has exported more than usd 10.0m during these years from Malaysia and China. We have also been selling our pipes to various hardwares shops locally. We have also supplied to local contractors and the Central Water Authority in Mauritius. We have also exported to the Public Utilities Corporation in Seychelles 160mm HDPE pipes for their projects and various associated  fittings. The Managing Director Mr Rakesh Dinoo reckons more than 20 years of experience in the field of pipes and fittings and very much aware of the latest developments and is endeavored to bring new technologies and new products to contractors and our clients in all sectors to facilitate their process.

Social Responsibility

In line with the government’s strategy to encourage companies’ towards more social responsibility, Hardwares Point Ltd has made the CSR a core part of its development strategy. Part of our revenue is dedicated to social and environmental projects. Our company shall soon tie up with the Mauritius Wild Life Foundation. We shall contribute at least one rupee per PVC pipe to the MWLF in our endeavour to be part of the Maurice Ile Durable project.
